In this podcourse, I am joined by Danielle Kent who runs and owns Piece of Mind Therapy and Consulting, LLC and host of The Brainy SLP Podcast. Danielle provides student specific contracts for school districts in the state of Vermont surrounding neurodiversity affirming communication evaluations/consultation as well as providing workshops and courses on co-regulation and self-regulation/executive functions. She loves to workout and spends time with her husband Adam, Two kids (Maddy& Troy), and their golden retriever Harley.
In this episode we discussed basic understandings of co-regulation and self-regulation. We also discussed the difference between behaviors and dysregulation or stress behaviors. In addition, we explored various strategies and approaches to co-regulation and how to integrate them into therapy.
