In this podcourse, I am joined by Heather Caska, a Speech-Language Pathologist, owner of HBC Language and Literacy, and co-founder of Early Birds Learning Specialists. Heather has over 10 years of experience as an SLP working with a variety of communication disorders. However, her true passion lies in working with children with dyslexia and their families and educating other SLPs on their role in the early identification of dyslexia. She lives in Arizona with her husband, John, and two children, Cason and Jamey.
In this episode, we identified 3 signs of dyslexia and discussed an SLPs role in the diagnosing process. We looked at 3 areas to assess dyslexia and how to effectively identify which 2 assessments to consider for a dyslexia evaluation.
