Morgan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of working experience in the field of ABA. Starting as a 1:1 interventionist in home and school settings, she quickly realized her passion for creating a positive impact on others’ lives. Morgan has since focused her expertise on training families and teachers worldwide on how to use ABA strategies to best support their individual needs. She has presented at internationally recognized ABA conferences on the topics of using visuals to support parents, how to promote accessible implementation of classroom behavior supports, and effective collaboration strategies when working with educators. Morgan continues to act as an advocate for approachable and accessible behavioral expertise for families and teachers.
Janna is an AAC Specialist and a Pre-school Autism Teacher with over 10 years of experience in an AAC immersion classroom. She has a Masters degree in Autism Studies and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Janna specializes in creating teaching environments for her students where they can thrive and that's AAC centered and communication based.
In this episode we discuss barriers to an interdisciplinary approach to augmentative alternative communication (AAC) implementation. We also discuss the importance of approachable collaboration, dissemination, and strategies to implement AAC throughout the day.
